DBCC is Revving Up for “Monster Miles for a Cause” Walk at Dover International Speedway

DOVER, DE (August 10, 2011)—The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) is revving up for their Second Annual “Monster Miles for a Cause” Walk at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, October 15. The event is a unique opportunity for supporters of local charities to walk on the NASCAR track. The walk begins at 12:15 pm with registration opening at 10 am. The event will have food, fun, and team prizes. Over 30 vendors will be on-site at the event.
To register to walk with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, go to debreastcancer.org and register online or print a registration form. Invite your friends and family and form a team. The cost is $25 per person or $30 on event day. Children 10 and under walk for free with an adult. Walk in honor or memory of someone in your life impacted by breast cancer. T-shirts are guaranteed for all participants pre-registered by October 1 (not including children under 10). Those who cannot attend the event but would still like to support DBCC can register online as Sleepwalkers. The event is rain or shine. All proceeds from the 2011 Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition “Monster Miles for a Cause” will benefit DBCC’s programs and services that work to increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms, and provide support and resources to men and women in our local community who are newly diagnosed or facing a recurrence of breast cancer.
