Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Hosts Social Event For Breast Cancer Survivors in Sussex County

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE (March 15, 2016)–The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) will host an event for breast cancer survivors on Monday, April 25 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach (36101 Seaside Boulevard – behind Giant Foods). This month’s event is a Scrapbooking Workshop for breast cancer survivors. Attendees are asked to bring four to six 4x6 inch photos to use for their scrapbook page. This event is part of the “Sussex Survivor Social” series which is organized by DBCC as a social group for breast cancer survivors in Sussex County. Through these events, survivors meet monthly to learn, volunteer, and socialize.  The event is free to attend.  Event is open to all breast cancer survivors. An RSVP is required. The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization offering statewide programs and services of education, outreach, and early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Its mission is to create a community where every person diagnosed with breast cancer is a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with knowledge and hope.

Headquartered in Wilmington with offices in Sussex and Kent Counties, DBCC’s programs reach diverse communities to deliver messages that address their unique concerns about breast cancer and early detection. DBCC also supports the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s advocacy efforts to end breast cancer.  All funds raised for DBCC support programs in Delaware and the neighboring areas in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.
