DBCC’s Great Stuff Savvy Resale is looking for a committed, dynamic part-time assistant manager to help with the operations of our resale shop. The ideal candidate will be available to work Saturdays and have flexibility in their schedule, have retail experience and excellent customer services skills. Experience training and managing a plus.
Operations
- Open & close shop when necessary
- Reconcile cash register at end of day: (i.e. cash receipts, prepare bank deposit, prepare register for next business day, complete internal reports)
- Saturday coverage at shop
- Assist in merchandising shop
- Be “right hand” of General Manager
- Manage shop vendors in absence of GM
- Manage day-to-day shop issues, including customers, in absence of GM
- Cover for sick days, vacation days of General Manager
- Sales floor coverage Volunteers
- Recruiting and interviewing new volunteers
- Preparing volunteer schedules on a monthly, weekly and daily basis
- Finding replacements when volunteers cancel or reschedule daily
- Training new volunteers on sales floor etiquette and other shop processes and procedures
- Daily management of volunteers/staff in absence of General Manager Donations and Pricing of Inventory
- Receive donations from customers
- Log and price inventory
