Local Salon Donates One Day’s Proceeds to Fight Against Breast Cancer

GLEN MILLS, PA (September 28, 2015)—Currie Hair Skin Nails Salon will host its Seventh Annual “There’s Life in Beauty” fundraiser on Sunday, October 25 from 11 am to 4 pm at its Glen Mills and Justison Landing location.  This is a special event where Currie will open its doors on a Sunday for a day of special discounted pricing, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC). 

Salon services include haircuts, blow dry’s, facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, makeovers and waxing at special discounted prices.  The event also features a silent auction.  Last year, the event raised almost $6,000 for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s programs and services for those facing breast cancer in the community.  The staff at Currie dedicates their time and talent to a great cause.  For a list of pricing for the event, please visit

About DBCC:

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization offering statewide programs and services of education, outreach, and early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Its mission is to create a community where every person diagnosed with breast cancer is a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with knowledge and hope.

Headquartered in Wilmington with offices in Sussex and Kent Counties, DBCC’s programs reach diverse communities to deliver messages that address their unique concerns about breast cancer and early detection. Recognizing the barriers of language, culture, and economics, DBCC trains community advocates to educate and encourage women to take responsibility for breast health.
