REHOBOTH BEACH, DE (October 2, 2015)—The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) is pleased to announce that Midway Fitness & Racquetball is Spinning For Awareness on October 24 at their fitness center in Rehoboth Beach. In addition to raising awareness for breast cancer during the month of October, the special event will help raise money for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition to support local breast cancer programs and services.

The first hour of the Spin-a-Thon begins at 9:00 am and the last hour ends at 12:00 pm. Classes are $30/bike half hour or supporters can pledge $30 to be a class sponsor. Donations will be collected at Midway Fitness now through October 24. To participate, you must RSVP. For more information, contact Kyle Kilgo by email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 302-645-0407. Midway Fitness & Racquetball is located at 34823 Derrickson Drive in Rehoboth Beach.

The money raised through the Midway Fitness & Racquetball Spin-a-Thon will benefit DBCC’s programs that increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms, and offer support and resources to women and men in the local community who are newly diagnosed or facing a recurrence of breast cancer.

About DBCC:

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization offering statewide programs and services of education, outreach, and early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Its mission is to create a community where every person diagnosed with breast cancer is a survivor, and fear and doubt are replaced with knowledge and hope.

Headquartered in Wilmington with offices in Sussex and Kent Counties, DBCC’s programs reach diverse communities to deliver messages that address their unique concerns about breast cancer and early detection. Recognizing the barriers of language, culture, and economics, DBCC trains community advocates to educate and encourage women to take responsibility for breast health. DBCC helps women with low incomes and those with little or no insurance to receive free or reduced-cost care.

DBCC also supports the National Breast Cancer Coalition and their research efforts by helping to facilitate participation in local clinical trials. All funds raised for DBCC support programs in Delaware and the neighboring areas in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.
