Nurture with Nature - Hiking Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge (3:00 pm - 6:00pm)
Location: Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, 2591 Whitehall Neck Road, Smyrna, DE 19977
Join DBCC and fellow breast cancer survivors for a Nurture with Nature event at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. We will take an approximate 4 mile hike around the refuge. March is when the spring waterfowl migration peaks. Ducks, snow geese, and Canadian Geese are abundant. Woodchucks and turtles emerge from hibernation. Woodcock courtship flights also occur. Bring your cameras for great wildlife photos! If you are unable to join us on the hike you can tour the Nature Center and get a tour by van.
Dress warm and wear your most comfortable walking shoes and meet other breast cancer survivors while enjoying nature at its best. Transportation available from DBCC’s Dover and possibly the Lewes office or we can meet you at the sites.
