WHY: One in eight women in the United States will have breast cancer in her lifetime. An estimated 600 Delawareans will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year and an estimated 110 women will die from the effects of the disease.
Governor Markell and Lt. Governor Matt Denn recognize the role Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition plays in promoting good breast health throughout the state by sharing programs of outreach, education and support to facilitate early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
