The Ace for a Cause Women’s Tennis Tournament, set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, will be presented by the Dave Marshall Tennis Academies at The Plantations, 18464 Plantations Blvd. in Lewes, to benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Inc. The tournament is open to all USTA-rated players and will be a women’s doubles round robin format.

“While Dave [Marshall] and I have planned events to benefit national organizations in the past, and we will again, right now we’re really trying to focus on local organizations that help people right here in our community,” said Ace for a Cause coordinator Meg Josetti.

“That’s why we want to raise money for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition as well as awareness of the good work they do here.”

Spectators are welcome and invited to stay for lunch ($10 fee), join in the 50/50 raffle, bid on items in the silent auction and partake in the shopping extravaganza provided by local retailers and vendors – all ways to help raise additional funds for the fight against breast cancer in Delaware.

Registration is limited and on a first-come/first-served basis. The $50 per person entry fee includes tournament participation, lunch at The Plantations, and a pink tennis shirt and “goodie-bag.”

Forms are available at The Plantations or by calling or emailing Meg Josetti at 302-448-6795 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Registration forms may be faxed to 302-988-8400.
