Connie Holdridge, Program Manager, Education & Survivorship
Connie graduated from Towson University with a double major, BS in Mathematics and Economics. There she met her husband of 36 years with whom she has 3 wonderful sons, 2 daughters-in-law and 1 grandchild.
Connie worked as a senior systems engineer for Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys), then became a computer consultant for 15 years. Wanting to do something different, her husband, sister and she opened a high end gift shop in Rehoboth Beach named “The Captain’s Cottage”. That ran from 1995 to 2008.
In 2001, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. When DBCC came to Sussex County she started volunteering with DBCC and in 2010, she joined the DBCC staff as the Program Manager for Education and Survivorship in Sussex County.
Connie volunteered with Boy Scouts of America for 18 years and she has been volunteering at Epworth United Methodist Church teaching Sunday School for 20 years.
