The 13th Annual Breast Cancer Update at Delaware Technical Community College in Dover features morning keynote speaker Dr. Len Lichtenfeld, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, American Cancer Society, and afternoon keynote speaker Kelly Corrigan, author of the New York Times best-selling book The Middle Place and the just-released book Lift. This annual one-day educational forum is free and open to the public and has become one of Delaware’s most trusted sources of up-to-date breast cancer information. The event features discussions by panels of breast cancer experts and attracts crowds of physicians, nurses, breast cancer survivors and advocates each year. DBCC is excited to present guest speaker Kelly Corrigan whose book The Middle Place pays testament to her gifted storytelling abilities as she shares her breast cancer journey in an honest, engaging, often humorous/sometimes painful, yet always moving and hopeful manner.
Books will be for sale in advance and at the event. A book signing with Kelly Corrigan will follow her keynote address.
