Continental Jewelers viewing of Sharing the Rough

October 03, 2016, 7:00pm

Jewelry and gemstones are quite sentimental.  They provide an emotional connection to a person or event in our lives.  This symbolism is evident in the pieces we wear everyday, our engagement rings and wedding bands, our religious medals and crosses, our spiritual reminders.  This talismanic characteristic is evident in the film, “Sharing the Rough”, an award winning documentary on the life of a gemstone, from its birth at the mine as a rough piece of rock through its multi-faceted journey and the lives it touches.

We’re bringing this story to Wilmington on October 3, at the Delaware Art Museum.  Our guests will be the award winning director, Orin Mazzoni, and the gem cutting artist featured in the movie, Roger Dery. Proceeds from our Gem Raffle benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, whose lifesaving programs and services provide comprehensive support to those affected by breast cancer in our community. We so hope you can join us!  Please join us for a special viewing of “Sharing the Rough” An award winning documentary film that captures the journey of a colored gemstone from mine to market in East Africa. on Monday, October 3, 2016 ~ 7PM at the Delaware Art Museum. RSVP by September 20th.

Q&A to follow with Award-Winning Gem Cutter Roger Dery and Director Orin Mazzoni! Proceeds from our Gem Raffle to benefit Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. Questions?  Please contact: Chrysa Cohen at (302) 475-2000 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
