¡VIDA!™ Latina Breast Health

¡VIDA!™ Latina Breast Health

¡VIDA!™ is a multicultural health program run by the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. Each program is free and open to the public and allows community members to stop by at any point to learn about breast health and healthy living. Services available at prior ¡VIDA!™ programs include oral exams, clinical breast exams, HIV testing, screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes testing.

¡VIDA!™ began in 2011 as a bilingual (Spanish/English) educational event that has grown to include all backgrounds and ethnicities, and offers programs to men, women, and children. In addition to breast health screening and information, the program features free health screenings and vendors from various nonprofit, health, business, and media organizations. The program generally features food, door prizes, and activities for children in addition to health information and translation services in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. DBCC has held successful ¡VIDA!™ programs in all three counties.

The State of Delaware’s Women’s Mobile Health Screening (WMHS) van is on-site (when available) to provide breast and cervical screenings at each ¡VIDA!™.
