Dover, Delaware – The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) invites Haitian women to participate in a special training session to become a “Chanpyon” and make a vital difference in the lives of fellow Haitian women in the community.

This unique program empowers individuals to serve as advocates, encouraging Haitian women to prioritize breast cancer screenings. Participants will receive comprehensive training and upon graduation, will earn a gift card, for their commitment to this crucial cause.
What is a Champion/Chanpyon?
A Champion/Chanpyon is an individual who has successfully completed DBCC’s training and graduation program. They are dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer screenings within the Haitian community and are equipped with resources and incentives to effectively encourage others to take proactive steps for their health.

- Time: 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Location: Dover Library, 35 Loockerman Plaza, Dover, DE 19901
- Requirement: Attendees must complete the entire session to graduate and receive a gift card.
“We are excited to offer this important training opportunity to empower community members to become vital resources for breast cancer awareness,” said Lissette Rivera, DBCC’s Women’s Health Screening Program Manager. “By becoming a Champion/Chanpyon, individuals can directly impact the health and well-being of Haitian women in our community.”
This training will equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively communicate the importance of breast cancer screenings and provide support to those in need.
