Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition holds fundraiser, education event in Rehoboth

The sun was out and spirits were high for the 15th annual Broadwalk on the Boardwalk May 10 in Rehoboth Beach.
The walk commemorates those lost to cancer, celebrates survivors and educates others. Many of the participants are clad in pink. Even more wear a boa around their neck as a show of support.
The walk started at CAMP Rehoboth on Baltimore Avenue. The route went down North First Street and then Rehoboth Avenue toward the Bandstand and Boardwalk. The walk ended at Poodle Beach with those celebrating survivors forming a huge heart around the survivors who participated.
Originally focused only on breast cancer, the walk now includes people with any kind of cancer. For more information on Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, go to debreastcancer.org.
A few dozen supporters of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition make their way down Rehoboth Avenue before hitting the Boardwalk.
