4th Annual DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk at the Tanger Outlet Center - Rehoboth Beach, Seaside

Join DBCC for the 4th Annual DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K at the Tanger Outlet Center - Rehoboth Beach, Seaside, on Sunday, May 19th (rain or shine)! The event will include a 5K run and walk as well as a 1-Mile Fun Walk. Run/walk kicks off at 8:30 am with registration opening at 7 am.


New this year:

- Special survivor ceremony
- Post race party with coffee, beer and wine, food court, refreshments and music
- Tech shirts
- NOVA Timing System
- New sound system
- Tanger Outlet Center coupons with exciting discounts
- Face painting
- And more to be announced!

Each participant in the Run/Walk must register and pay the $20 fee. Registration by May 13th guarantees you a DE-feet T-shirt on the day of the Run/Walk. Register online or download the printable registration form. T-shirts are available in Youth Large, Adult Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2XL, 3XL.

Participants who wish to collect donations on behalf of the DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk can register as an individual fundraiser or form a team of fundraisers. You will be able to use our convenient and safe online tool to solicit donations. There are no minimum donation amounts to needed to participate. In 2012, our walkers raised an additional $20,000!

While most people think of coming to the cancer center to see their doctors, have chemotherapy, radiation or tests, there are other reasons to be here. Sometimes it’s hard to talk to people who love you but who don’t know what it is like to have cancer. “Nurture Your Self” was created to provide a safe place for women to talk freely, form connections, and learn from and support one another while adjusting to living as well as possible with advanced breast cancer. There are no needles, no tests and no copays; just warmth, acceptance and gentle support.


This program is held the 4th Monday of the month.

Nurture with Nature - Horseback Riding

Join DBCC and fellow breast cancer survivors for a one hour leisure horseback riding adventure through fields and woods on the Wicked R Ranch. We will be scheduling three, one hour rides. They have 6 horses available each hour. We will start scheduling 4:00-5:00 when filled move to the next hour etc.

Bring a brown bag dinner to enjoy after our ride. Come and meet other breast cancer survivors while enjoying nature at its best.

Dunes Pink Classic Golf Tournament at Bear Trap Dunes

The Women’s Golf Association at Bear Trap Dunes raised over $ 56,000 for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition as a result of last year’s Dunes Pink Classic. The tournament’s success was the result of 160 spirited women golfers, over 40 men and women volunteers and the wonderful generosity of many business and individuals. Our goal for this year is to increase our net proceeds through sponsorship opportunities so that the DBCC are able to provide support to even more families in Delaware with their programs and services.

Format: Four–Person Teams — Flighted and Handicapped — Team Scramble (36 max handicap assigned)
Cost: $125 per person. Includes driving range privileges, cart, Grab and Go breakfast, 18 holes of golf, buffet luncheon, Super Bundle (Kamikazee contest ball, Mulligans, Pick-a-Package tickets), “Goodie Bag” and prizes for lowest team net score in each flight, as well as Closest to the Pin & Longest Drive contests.
Rent–a–Caddie: $100 per team. The caddies provide local course knowledge, strategy tips, and help reading the greens. Limited # of caddies.

Bras for a Cause Presented by the Sussex County Women’s Council of Realtors

Nurture Your “SELF” - Learning to Live with Advanced Breast Cancer

While most people think of coming to the cancer center to see their doctors, have chemotherapy, radiation or tests, there are other reasons to be here. Sometimes it’s hard to talk to people who love you but who don’t know what it is like to have cancer. “Nurture Your Self” was created to provide a safe place for women to talk freely, form connections, and learn from and support one another while adjusting to living as well as possible with advanced breast cancer. There are no needles, no tests and no copays; just warmth, acceptance and gentle support.


This program is held the 4th Monday of the month.
