The 20th Annual Breast Cancer Update on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Dover Downs Hotel and Convention Center, Ballrooms B and C in Dover, DE

Each Spring, DBCC presents a symposium featuring leading medical experts and other speakers discussing the most current topics in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, detection and survivorship. The annual one-day educational forum is free and open to the public, and has become one of Delaware's most trusted sources of up-to date breast cancer information.

DBCC is excited to present an excellent roster of speakers to address breast cancer treatment and survivorship. This year's program will:

  • Define how the Cancer Moonshot Task Force supports the end of breast cancer.
  • Identify screening strategies for patients with dense breasts to ensure appropriate modalities are utilized in women at increased risk of missed diagnosis using mammography alone.
  • Identify current trends and advances in breast cancer treatment as well as current clinical trials.
  • Describe techniques for physical activity, yoga, nutrition and exercise along with lifestyle changes that may reduce risk for cancer and recurrence.
  • The Breast Cancer Update is one of many ways that DBCC uses its funds locally to benefit and serve the people of Delaware and its surrounding communities. This annual one-day educational forum attracts crowds of physicians, nurses, breast cancer survivors and advocates each year.

Certificates of attendance documenting 4 Contact Hours and .4 Continuing Education Units (CEU's) will be available to Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
