“I am thrilled to be able to offer the Yes2Health program to our community. It can be so difficult to stay on track while developing healthy habits, and it’s much easier with a supportive community and an easy-to-follow plan. Taking small steps every day to improve your health can make a huge impact, including reduced risks of chronic diseases. Anyone looking to make strides on their health and wellness journey in 2025 should take advantage of this free program. With four different classes available, including one in Spanish, we’re excited to create opportunities for all community members to live healthier lives,” shared Connie Holdridge, DBCC Director of Survivorship.

In the Kitchen: The Yes2Health Program offers an exciting culinary experience called Yes2Health in the Kitchen. Inspired by Yes2Health nutrition materials, this no-cost, interactive cooking class allows participants to learn a new culinary skill while preparing a healthy recipe. Recipes and a shopping list are provided upon registration. The instructor, Chef Dee Iraca, is the founder of Eat Well Chef, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and a Professional Chef in North Carolina. She obtained a Culinary Nutrition degree from Johnson & Wales University and completed a dietetic internship at Meredith College. Register here!
